I think Code Complete is a good product, but what I would like is the ability to decide to use, or not, the 3 layers that are currently generated for CSLA 3.6 Business Objects.

Right now, each BO has a Data Transfer object + Data Layer class associated. This is all nice and dandy, but in some case it makes manually modifying the code a difficult and error prone task.

For example, sometimes you want to add data members that need to come from a different data source, for example a filed that would be obtained from a different database than the one used to generate the BO. In such cases, one has at least 3 places to modify the code, which can quickly lead to disaster if one is not careful.

What I'm suggesting is that the user should have the option to generate all the CRUD code inside the BO itself, just like the sample projects provided by CSLA.

I hope this is something that will be considered in the future.
