Hi and congradulations for an excellent product. I am currently taking the trial version of your product and testing it. I am looking for a solution that will allow me to create custom GUI based on CSLA.
I can see that i can create or modify existing templates to my liking. My question is whether i can create and use a second type of Data-entry Form for my applications if necessary. That of course would mean creating another template from my part, but i am fine with that. I would like to have the ability to use 2 kinds of templates and data entry forms (each one for a different situation). This tool is very productive but i want add my own experience in the generated projects.
In addition when the grids are generated and then edited, what is the default behaviour of the generator in case of regenaration. I am interested not only because of aesthetic changes to the end-product but also because of localization needs. Should i localize the column headers for example i would not like to have them regenarated to english everytime i make an addition or improvement.

Hi,
Thanks for your kind comments on the product. The templates are customizable as you have said. You just need to replace the existing XSLT template for generating the DataEntryUserControl with your own and regenerate the control. When you regenerate code, as opposed to the BL and DL classes where Code Complete overwrites only the designer classes, it overwrites both the code behind and designer classes for user controls.
I hope this anwers your questions.

What i was interested in, was a way to handle the way the UI is generated by "feeding" the csla object with the proper template. In such a case i would be able to handle more than one scenario of data entry. Or even more than one scenario in general.
I am asking because additionally i use different scenarios for handling data views (readonlylists). Also in such cases i use custom stored procedures which return a specific resultset. Can this generator create a csla object from a stored procedure that returns the resultset of a select statement?

The current version does not support this feature. It will be supported in version 5.0. We are planning to have a beta release sometimes in July.
